The position will coordinate accurate and timely processing of employee payroll and payroll procedures as established by the company.
Spanish speaking is a plus.

Job Functions:
Ensure accurate weekly payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees.
Verify updates to employee changes such as wage increases, benefit deductions, pay increases, status changes, ect.
Prepare manual payroll checks and voids when necessary.
Review timesheets for accuracy, ask managers questions.
Enter data into databases and spreadsheets.
Monitor and ensure all payroll changes are completed in QuickBooks in preparation for payroll.
Process direct deposits.
Process manual checks as needed for missing hours, terminations and bonuses.
Identify and communicate payroll issues to management.
Sort and distribute paystubs to off-site locations when necessary.
Audit incoming data provide from both internal and external sources.
Coordinate and process all year end information, including W2's.
Create a provide various wage related reports upon request.
Run ad hoc reports as needed.
Other functions as required or directed by manager and company principals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Able to handle and maintain highly confidential information at all times.
Knowledge of State of Illinois laws, rules and regulations, and US wage hour laws.
Basic payroll auditing skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professional at all levels of the organization as well as with customers and vendors.
Effectively multi-task in a high volume, fast paced, team-oriented work environment.
Attention to detail, well-organized, and ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong verbal communication skills, to work effectively with customers, co-workers, vendors, management team.
Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.

Experience and Education:
Prefer two years payroll experience.
Prefer minimum one year experience with basic accounting.
Experience with Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables.
Experience with union reporting and union payroll.
Experience working with QuickBooks payroll system.
Experience with time and attendance.
Advanced computer skills and experience using MicroSoft Word and Excel.
